| The shops |
| Shoppers in Maidenhead have more than 300 shops to choose
from - including well- known High Street stores such as Boots, Dixons, Argos,
Superdrug, First Sport, Hammels, Virgin, Game, Thomas Cook, Mothercare,
Next, Marks and Spencer and W H Smith. There are also three town-centre
supermarkets - Tesco Metro, Sainsburys and Waitrose.
But there's also smaller and more exclusive shops in an area where old meets new - the pedestrianised High Street was the old main road from London to Bath; just off it is Nicholsons Shopping Centre, a covered shopping centre with its own car park. Check out the town centre map, showing main shopping streets and car parks giving access to 3000 spaces. |
