Crazies Hill is a tiny village between Maidenhead and Henley-on-Thames. This is a good looking country pub with real ales and very popular food. Booking not recommended....it's pretty essential. Brakspear and other guest beers are very good too. The main part of the pub to the left is set out as a restaurant with good looking tables in a room that looks like a converted barn (complete with deer's head on the wall). The atmosphere is friendly and intimate, helped with candles and good service. There is a mobile specials board. Standard menu starters include garlic bread (£2.25), soup & a roll (£4.25) and deep fried brie (£5.25). Main courses include smoked salmon tagliatelle at £7.50, shoulder of lamb at £11.95, and fillet of steak with selection of sauces £13.95. Traditional fattening puds round off a very acceptable visit. Our only grouch is the lack of no-smoking tables which is a shame. Even so, this pub comes highly recommended.
