Parts of this inn dates back to the 14th century. It has remained in the same family for three generations. Central lougne bar with large fireplace. Old leather seats lend this place a real inn atmosphere that's in keeping with its age. Bar and restaurant food available, large menu. Real ales served. On the A4 between Maidenhead and Reading, on the right as you travel towards Reading. On 20 June 2002, Philip Kerrigan writes: Visited this pub in June 2002. Nice place and tranquil atmosphere, I ate in the bar not the reataurant but there was a good choice and the food was good. Only complaint is the tables are a bit low.
